Consider: Graphic Novel

March 1, 2015

Challenge:

Make a book about psychological disorders to inform, interest, and ignite empathy in the reader for people who suffer from these fears. “Consider” is an experimental graphic novel that portrays a variety of irrational phobias through the eyes of the patient. As the reader flips through the pages, the book’s pacing is meant to engender the mood of the patient through composition, words, images and graphics.

The reader will consider the fears from the patient’s perspective, and better understand and empathize with them.

Solution:

Display information with a graphic-intense approach. Some of the phobias displayed are fear of the moon, fear of long words, fear of numbers, fear of white space and fear of dolls.

Personal project.
